WIS NSW 2012 Scholarship

Women in Super NSW is offering members the opportunity to apply for the following programs:

The Professional Development Skills Program

The successful applicants for the Professional Development Skills Program will receive a complimentary ticket to attend a two day workshop by rogenSi with the choice of one of the programs listed below:

  • rogenSi's 2 day Presentation Skills program will provide you with the knowledge and practical experience to confidently and effectively communicate to an audience in a face-to-face situation.
  • rogenSi's Influencing Skills program provides a deeper understanding of the qualities of an effective influencer and the characteristics of influencing with or without authority across and upwards in your organisation
  • rogenSi's The Confident Negotiator: to become a successful negotiator you require a combination of knowledge, skills, techniques and most importantly - confidence.

The Board Program

The successful applicants for the Board Program will receive a complimentary ticket to attend a half a day Getting Started: Recognising your board potential workshop run by Women on Boards which educates women on the following issues:

  • Learn how to market yourself and improve your CV
  • Discover your long-term career options
  • Receive strategic and practical advice

The successful applicants will also have the opportunity to network with people in the financial services and superannuation industry.

WIS NSW 2011 Scholarship: “Getting started”

Career Development Workshop

Supporting and encouraging the appointment of women to boards is one of the main goals of Women in Super (WIS).

To this end, WIS NSW will fund the attendance of up to four NSW WIS members to a ‘Women on Boards’ workshop.

The workshop is designed to help participants learn how to market themselves and improve their CV, as well as provide strategic and practical advice.

This scholarship was awarded to Sandi Orleow, Anne Whittaker, Katharine Seymour, Cathy Gowing and Elaine Lawler.
