Mavis Robertson International Women's Day with Sam Mostyn
While important progress has been made, women face significant obstacles to achieving equal participation in the economy. Without equal access to education, employment pathways, financial services and literacy, how can we ever hope to reach gender equality? We must ensure women and girls are given equal opportunity to build their capabilities and strengthen their capacity to learn, earn and lead.
Women in Super use our annual Mavis Robertson International Women’s Day lunches as an opportunity not only to celebrate the significant progress made for women – and by women, particularly in our industry – but also as an important landmark to stop, and recognise the considerable efforts that are still required in order to achieve true equity.
This year, we are thrilled to announce Sam Mostyn, someone who is continuously working to re-shape systems and remove barriers so that all women can realise their full potential and build better financial futures for us all.
As well as being the current Chair of Aware Super, Sam Mostyn is a businesswoman and sustainability adviser, with a long history of executive & governance roles across business, sport, climate change, the arts, policy, and NFP sectors. Sam recently Chaired the Women’s Economic Equality Taskforce and is past President of Chief Executive Women and Chair of Citi Australia’s consumer bank and Women’s Economic Opportunities Review.
Her executive and non-executive roles have encompassed business strategy, human resources, culture change, corporate and government affairs, risk management, community engagement, climate change, gender equality, and sustainability, making her the perfect person to speak about the pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere.
This event is open to all (members and non-members).
We aim for 50/50 representation at this event, so please bring your male colleagues!
